Become a certified Half Moon Select agent and join the community
of travel agents and reservation agents who are designated specialists of
the famed luxury resort.
The Half Moon Select programme provides the knowledge that an agent needs in order to become an expert on the many facets of the Half Moon product. The programme is based online and is devised in two stages to facilitate agents who would like to complete training at their own pace.
The first stage of the training is broken down in two modules that cover general property, destination knowledge, and Half Moon culture. Both modules must be completed at a minimum of 95% pass rate in order for an agent to be awarded the Half Moon Select diploma. Each module has 20 questions.
The second stage covers areas of specialisation, either ‘Groups & Events’ or ‘Romance’. For agents who would like to be awarded the Half Moon Select – Groups & Events Specialist diploma, they must complete Module 3 with a minimum of 95% pass rate. For agents who would like to be awarded the Half Moon Select – Romance Specialist diploma, they must complete Module 4 with a minimum of 95% pass rate. And for those who would like to be specialized in both, we encourage you to take both modules 3 & 4! Please note, agents must complete the first stage (modules 1 & 2) before moving onto the specialisation modules.
In order to maintain Half Moon Select Status agents are required to participate in at least one online training seminar per year and are required to book a minimum of 10 room nights per year.

Half Moon Select agents will be upgraded to Half Moon Premier Select once they book a minimum of forty room nights within a year. The top three producing Half Moon Premier Select agents will be invited to attend the Half Moon Ambassador Awards weekend.
Stage 1
Modules 1 & 2
These cover general property knowledge, destination information and the Half Moon culture. Travel agents are instructed in areas such as accommodation, activities and the history, values and service standards of the resort. Upon successful completion of these modules travel agents will be awarded the Half Moon Select diploma.

Module 3 includes descriptions and specifications on meeting rooms, themed events, group accommodation and travel tips for groups. Module 3 can only be completed after successful completion of modules 1 and 2. Upon successful completion of module 3 agents will be awarded the Half Moon Select Groups & Events Specialist Certificate.

Module 4 covers romance at Half Moon. The training includes requirements for getting married in Jamaica, destination wedding and honeymoon packages, and the Half Moon romance concierge. Module 4 can only be completed after successful completion of modules 1 and 2. Upon successful completion of module 4 agents will be awarded the Half Moon Select Romance Specialist Certificate.
